Kimberlee J. Kmetz

A native of the Mahoning Valley, Kim has spent her nearly 30 years in practice in courtrooms across Ohio. She began her career practicing in the areas of criminal defense and workers compensation eventually focusing her practice on civil defense litigation. With every year in practice, she has used her skills to protect and defend the rights of her clients.

Knowing the importance of communication between attorney and client, Kim has always made personal service a priority assuring that her clients have their questions answered the access to their attorney that they are entitled to throughout the litigation process. It is the foundation for Kmetz Law, LLC.

In addition to her practice, Kim also volunteered as a trial team coach for the University of Akron School of Law for many years teaching law students trial tactics and helping them prepare for their careers in the courtroom.

In 2005, Kim was presented with the Distinguished Service Award by the Mahoning County Bar Association. This is an award dear to her as it was presented by the colleagues and peers she considered then, and now, to be the best in the practice. 2019 brought the honor of her 25 years in the practice and her selection by Super Lawyers class of 2020. She was selected again in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

After nearly 30 years in the practice throughout the State of Ohio, Kim never forgets who taught her the value of honestly, hard work and respect for the law. She dedicates her practice, and everyday that she is privileged to represent her clients to her Father, Kenneth J. Kmetz (1947-2014), proud Air Force Vietnam Veteran, UAW Local 1714 member, and good man. It was his hard work ethic and unwavering sense of fairness that brought her to the practice of law. These are the values she holds true and strives to bring to each and every case and client.
