Biography

Kristi attended Youngstown State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1999. Following graduation, Kristi pursued a juris doctorate at Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law.

Upon earning her JD, Kristi began working as a labor and employment lawyer at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister in Cleveland (2004-2010). Her primary area of practice was workers' compensation defense. Kristi handled employers' defense of claims at all administrative and common pleas levels and conducted claim reviews and audits for clients to ensure appropriate claim management. She also aided clients on policies and practices related to transitional work programs, drug testing policies/drug-free programs and progressive disciplinary programs.

Following her tenure at Taft, Kristi began work at Saber Healthcare Group, LLC., as the Vice President of Employee Risk (2010-2016). As such, Kristi advised Saber and its some 80 skilled nursing facilities on a full range of labor and employments laws. Kristi defended the company against claims for workers' compensation benefits and administrative charges of discrimination.
